The kingdoms of Gracia
While the empire of Elmoreden grew under Emperor Shuniman, Gracia, across the sea, remained divided. It was a varied and dangerous land, split among small kingdoms that fought one another over every inch of ground.
None of them was strong enough to rule over the rest.

The invasion
One day the army of Elmoreden marched in over the western sea bridge. The kingdoms of Gracia, rivals until then, had no choice but to join forces.
The war swept away much of the old royalty and aristocracy. The nobles who survived came out of it more powerful than ever.

The birth of Perios
The invasion was driven back, and from that forced alliance a unified kingdom was born: Perios.
Elmoreden had united long before and had far greater military might. But Perios had two advantages: the sea, which limited the invader’s routes, and the mighty relics the giants had left in its land.
Centuries later, in the golden age of Emperor Baium, the empire attacked it again and again, until it held the south of Gracia. For all its power, in the end it never conquered Perios.

The cold and the plague
Perios did not fall to the sword. Elmoreden fell first, and that only bought Perios time. Plagues from the south and a devastating cold from the north did what no army had ever managed.
Like the empire before it, Perios passed into the history books.
Inspired by The Legend of Lineage II by NCSOFT (episodes 13, 16 and 18). The official story doesn’t describe the colors, the relics or the coat of arms of Perios: those details are L2Perios’s own interpretation.
